The petitioner claims to be the secretary of Petbindhi Sarbojanin Durga Puja Committee and filed an application for permission to organize the Durga Puja. The authority has filed a report which indicates that the Petbindhi Sarbojanin Durga Puja Committee applied in the online platform and was granted permission to organize the puja on September 20, 2024. Thus, the authority cannot recognise the petitioner as the secretary of the said Durga Puja committee.

No order can be passed in the writ petition.

If the petitioner forms a separate committee or is subsequently recognized as a secretary of the Petbindhi Sarbojanin Durga Puja Committee for the next year, the petitioner will apply in accordance with the provisions of law. The authority also does not find any document

which would indicate that the petitioner had applied in the on-line mode for such permission.

The documents filed by the police authority is taken on record.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
