The petitioners have assailed the order passed by the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Purba Medinipur on 2nd May, 2023 in GR No.2190 of 2017 directing issuance of warrant of arrest against them.

It appears from the record that the petitioners were on bail and failed to appear before the learned Magistrate on 2nd May, 2023 by filing petition for adjournment. The petition was rejected by the learned Magistrate and warrant of arrest was issued against them.

The petitioners undertake to surrender before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate within seven days from date.

If the petitioners surrender before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate within the said time frame, the learned Magistrate shall allow them to remain on the same bond. The warrant of arrest issued against the petitioners vide order passed on 2nd May, 2023 be stayed till 18th October, 2024.

In the event the petitioners fail to surrender before the learned Magistrate within the stipulated time frame, the learned Magistrate shall be at liberty to take necessary steps against the petitioners in accordance with law without further reference to this Court.

The revisional application being CRR 4392 of 2024 is disposed of.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly uploaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
