Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner married one Santa Bhowmick @ Guria on 12th June, 2016. His wife meted out mental and physical torture upon him and demanded money on threats of false implication. She also took away cash, gold ornaments and other valuables from the petitioner's house without his knowledge or consent.

The petitioner lodged complaint against his wife before the police authority which was registered as FIR and investigation is in progress. The petitioner filed a further representation before the police on 26th October, 2025 and seeks a direction upon the police to consider the said representation.

It appears from the report submitted by the State that both the complaints/representations submitted by the

petitioner have been considered by the police authority and investigation is in progress.

The investigating officer is directed to conduct a fair and impartial investigation and take the same to its logical conclusion in accordance with law.

Since no fruitful purpose shall be served in keeping the writ petition pending, the same is disposed of. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
