For the State The petitioner is the erstwhile husband of one Santa Bhowmik and alleges exploitation, extortion and criminal intimidation upon him and his family members by his erstwhile wife. The petitioner lodged complaint before the police authority in this regard on 26th October, 2025 which has been registered as FIR during pendency of the writ petition and investigation is in progress.

In view of such change of circumstance the investigating officer is directed to conduct a fair and impartial investigation and take the same to its logical conclusion in accordance with law.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Since no affidavit has been invited, allegations contained in the writ petition shall be deemed not to have been admitted.

Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
