The University is not represented despite service. It is the grievance of the petitioner that though he voluntarily retired as Joint Director of Extension Education under Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya in the year 2013, till date, the respondents have not accorded him the benefits of promotion under the career advancement scheme.

It has been submitted by Mr. Rajat Dutta, learned advocate appearing for the State that the Deputy Secretary, Agricultural Department by a letter dated January 3, 2022 requested the Registrar of the said University to furnish the particulars in a prescribed format, but till date no response has been received from the said Registrar.

Mr. Dutta further submits that after the documents are furnished, the case of the petitioner will be considered by the State.

In view of the submissions advanced on behalf of the State, I dispose of this writ petition with a direction upon the Registrar, Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya to furnish necessary particulars and documents to the Deputy Secretary, Agricultural Department within a period of two weeks from the date of communication of this order. After receiving such documents, respondent no. 6 shall pass a reasoned order with regard to the claim of the petitioner within four weeks thereafter.

With the aforesaid directions, WPA 24896 of 2022 is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
