By allowing CRR 4151 of 2022, this Court directed the State Government in the department of Home Affairs to take steps for immediate release of the petitioners because they have been suffering since 2005 and no adverse report is available against the petitioners. Direction was made upon the Principal Secretary, Department of Home Affairs.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioners that the Department of Home Affairs is headed by an Additional Chief Secretary and not the Principal Secretary because of the nomenclature of the post of the administrative authority in the department of Home Affairs, the Court's order has not been taken care of.

In view of such circumstances, notice be issued upon the respondent / alleged contemnor to show-cause as to why a rule

of contempt shall not be issued against the opposite party by 4th August, 2023.

The learned Advocate on record on behalf of the petitioners is directed to serve notice upon the respondent/alleged contemnor under registered speed post with acknowledgment due.

In addition to the above service, the petitioners shall deposit requisites in the department for service of notice upon the respondent/alleged contemnor.

List the matter on 4th August, 2023.
