His brother expired on 10.08.2016 and he filed an application after six years, i.e., on 14.10.2022, claiming a job.

The principle of died-in-harness appointments is that such appointments are given for tying over the immediate financial crisis for the bread earner of the family and here the petitioner waited for six years which shows that there was no immediate financial crisis. Therefore, I do not find any merit in this writ application and the same is dismissed.
