The petitioner has filed this instant writ petition seeking direction upon the respondent authorities and their men or their agents to set aside and/or cancel and/or quash the impugned selection process and/or interview conducted by West Bengal College Service Commission for recruitment to the post of Lectureship in Arabic forthwith with other consequential reliefs. 2.

None appears on behalf of the petitioner and no accommodation is sought for.

This case pertains to the year 2009 that almost 15 years have been passed.

Considering the nature of prayer and long pendency, this Court seems after passage of time petitioner is not interested in pursuing the matter any further and abandoned his prayer.

Even on merit, it appears from the writ petition that petitioner came to know that the result of

interview has been published. The private respondent no. 6 has stood second in the panel though he was an Assistant Teacher of North 24 Parganas High School and, at the same time, he was a part time Lecturer in Calcutta University. So, his apprehension is that there is every chance of manipulation, arbitrariness in the selection process and the same cannot be sustained in the eye of law which is liable to be questioned. 6.

However, this Court does not find any reliable prima facie evidence to support its contention in the writ petition. Therefore, this Court finds writ petition is devoid of merits.

Accordingly, the writ petition being WPA 19675 of 2009 stands dismissed.

Interim order, if any, stands vacated.

9.

There shall however be no order as to costs.
