1. Affidavit-of-service as well as a notice of additional documents of service filed in Court today be kept on record.

2. It transpires that the service has been returned with the endorsement that the "addressee is deceased". The addressee, it may be relevant to mention here, was the objector, who was also the added respondent impleaded in terms of the previous leave granted by this court.

3. That apart, learned counsel for the petitioners submits on instruction from his clients that the

said objector has indeed met his demise in the meantime.

4. In such view of the matter, there cannot be any further scope of objection.

5. Accordingly, WPA No. 24353 of 2023 is allowed, thereby directing the CESC Limited to give electricity connection to the petitioners in terms of the petitioners' application within a fortnight from date, subject to compliance of all formalities by the petitioners.

6. In the event any obstruction, however, is raised from any quarter, it will be open to the CESC Limited to approach the respondent no.

4, that is, the Officer-in-Charge, M.P.Ghora Police Station, Howrah, for adequate police assistance, which will be given by the respondent no. 4 at the cost of the petitioners by acting on a server copy of this order, if need be, by removing any padlock or any other hindrances in doing so.

7. There will be no order as to costs.

8. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities. (Sabyasachi Bhattacharyya, J.)
