Since the petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of M. Case No. 352 of 2021 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 5th Court, Barrackpore, North 24 Parganas, the matter may be considered without service of notice upon the opposite party. The opposite party shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case. It appears that the case under Section 125 of the Code of Criminal Procedure is pending since 2021. In view of the above, the learned trial Court is directed to take the proceeding to its logical conclusion within six months from the next date of hearing fixed before him, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law. Accordingly, the criminal revisional application being CRR 4406 of 2024 is disposed of.
