The petitioner is the father who complained that his elder son is forcing him to transfer the property in his favour and also attempting to oust him from the property. A case has already been registered by the police authorities. In spite of the same, if the petitioner apprehends that he may be thrown out of his property being a father, in that case the petitioner would approach the appropriate forum under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, for appropriate directions. Such application be made within a period of four weeks before the said forum. In the meantime, for a period of four weeks from date, the police authorities would keep a strict vigil so that no torture is inflicted upon the petitioner who is a senior citizen and the petitioner be not ousted from the property.

Since the investigation has commenced, the same be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 25467 of 2024 is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
