Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits that numerous job aspirants like the petitioners have been cheated by the private respondents and others. Huge sums of money were taken on the promise of giving jobs in Europe. Neither was any job given nor was the money returned. The petitioners approached the police with a complaint, but the same was not acted upon.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State relies on the report and submits that on the complaint of the petitioners, a specific FIR being Baguiati Police Station Case No. 677 of 2023 dated 10.10.2023 has been started under Sections 420, 406 and 467 of the Indian Penal Code. Since the prime grievance of the petitioners of non-

registration of an FIR on their complaint has been redressed, no further order need be passed in this regard at this stage. Let the Investigating Agency conclude the investigation expeditiously and in accordance with law.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
