The present appeal has been preferred challenging an order dated 24th September, 2025 passed by the

learned single Judge in a writ petition, being WPA 18706 of 2025. The said writ petition was preferred primarily praying for issuance of necessary direction upon the respondents/authorities to complete the registration process of the writ petitioners/appellants herein and to allow the appellants to participate in the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing examination, commencing on and from 11th November, 2025.

This matter was extensively heard on 7th November, 2025 and Mr. Sen, learned Additional Advocate-General, appearing for the State and Mr. Maiti, learned advocate appearing for the West Bengal University of Health Sciences were directed to avail necessary instructions. Today, we have been informed by Mr. Maiti that all the appellants herein have been provisionally registered and they would be allowed to appear/participate in the examination commencing on and from 11th November, 2025. Let the documents as regards provisional registration of the appellants, as produced, be kept on record.

In view thereof, no further order is required to be passed in the present appeal and the same along with the connected application is disposed of.

It is made clear that we have not gone into the merits of the case and all points are left open to be decided by the learned single Judge in the writ petition.

The appellants would be at liberty to mention before the learned single Judge for expeditious disposal of the writ petition, upon notice to all the respondents. Needless to observe, the provisional registration of the appellants and their participation in the said examination would abide by the result of the writ petition.
