He prays for bail. Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits trial is in progress.

We have considered the materials on record. Statements of witnesses disclose presence of the petitioner at the time of commission of offence. He has been identified in court. Stolen article was recovered from his possession.

In view of the aforesaid incriminating materials on record, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. However, we request the trial court to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date preferably within six months from the next date fixed for recording evidence without granting unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.
