Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner is directed to serve copy of this revisional application upon Ms. Debjani Sahu, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears for the State. Her appointment may be regularised by the concerned authorities.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner is aggrieved by the delay in the trial. According to the learned advocate, after the investigation being completed in connection with Khardah Police Station Case No. 298 of 2021, charge-sheet was submitted before the jurisdictional court and charges have been framed.

Subsequently examination of one of the witnesses has already been completed and examination-in-chief of two of the witnesses has been completed, although their cross-examination is yet to be completed. It has been submitted that six witnesses have been relied upon by the prosecution in support of its case.

Having considered the fact that three years have almost expired since the initiation of the present case, I direct that

the learned trial court would expedite the progress of the trial by fixing at least one date in a month so that trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. No unnecessary adjournment should be granted to either of the parties.

Learned public prosecutor conducting the case would ensure regarding the production of materials, documents and exhibits on the dates so fixed for examination of the witnesses.

All stakeholders would cooperate with the learned trial court to conclude the trial at the earliest.

With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 4075 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
