It appears that the Investigating Officer is now acting under the supervision of the Superintendent of Police, Paschim Medinipur. Several witnesses have been examined and seizures made. Seizure now includes seven iPhones. Raids were purportedly conducted in Hariyana, Delhi, Rajasthan and other places. However, none of the accused could be arrested as yet. The homes of the two of the accused have been searched, but they are absconding. Effort is being made to conduct a proper CDR and SDR analysis of cell phones.

It appears that some efforts have been made by the Investigating Officer to recover the iPhones and arrest the accused. But, the same is not yielded much result. In view of the above and in the interest of justice, let the investigation of the case be transferred to the CID who shall conclude the investigation in accordance with law and as expeditiously as possible.

With these observations, WPA 24448 of 2023 is disposed of.
