PP Mr. Suman De Mr. Bibaswan Bhattacharya ...for the State The present case has been initiated on the basis of an information lodged by Rampurhat Police Station at the instance of one Sub-Inspector which was registered as Rampurhat Police Station case no. 287 of 2014, punishable under Section 489B/489C/120B of the IPC.

The petitioners who were arrested at the time lodging FIR was subsequently released on bail on 27th January, 2015. Thereafter, due to non-appearance of the petitioner before the court below when case was called for hearing, the warrant of arrest has been issued against the present petitioners. Now the present petitioners want to surrender before the court below. Mr. Bibaswan Bhattacharya, learned counsel, who usually appears before this court on behalf of the State, is hereby appointed to represent the State. The concerned authority is directed to regularize his appointment. Having heard learned counsel for both the parties, the instant application being CRR 4735 of 2025 is hereby disposed of giving liberty to the petitioners to surrender

before the court below within a period of four weeks from date and in the event of surrender by the petitioners, the court below will dispose of their prayer in accordance with law without being influenced by any observations made herein.

The impugned order which relates to issuance of warrant of arrest against the present petitioners, shall be stayed for a period of four weeks from date or till the petitioners surrender before the court below, whichever is earlier.
