Pursuant to an order dated 10.12.2025, the District Engineer, Howrah has filed a report. A copy of the same is handed over to the petitioner. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner, upon perusal of the report that they have no objection in strictly complying with each and every condition of the report in order to obtain an electricity connection.
On a perusal of the report it appears that there are 14 meters located at the meter board room and there is enough space to accommodate a new meter for the petitioner. As such, the only objection is that the petitioner files an appropriate application with necessary particulars.
It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the subject electricity connection in respect of Flat No. 202, 2nd Floor at the subject premises. These particulars have already provided in the application for a new connection (Annexure -"P1" to the writ petition).
In view of the above, WPA 24937 of 2025 stands disposed of by directing the CESC Limited to provide necessary electricity connection at the subject premises after complying with all necessary formalities.
Liberty is granted to the CESC Limited to obtain police assistance if any untoward situation arises. In case of any such application, the Officerin-Charge, Bali Police Station is directed to render all necessary assistance.
