Mr. Srijan Nayak, learned advocate appearing on behalf of the Co-operative Election Commission, submits that the Commission has appointed a Returning Election Officer who will conduct the election.

Mr.

Nayak further submits that the Returning Officer is currently taking steps to prepare the voter list, and once the voter list is finalised, the election schedule will be published.

Accordingly, I find no merit in the petitioners' allegation that they have been prevented from filing their nomination papers.

In light of the aforementioned developments, I do not find it necessary to pass any further orders in this writ petition.

It is pertinent to note that, following the publication of the election schedule, the petitioners will be free to participate in the election process in accordance with the law.

Accordingly, WPA 25428 of 2024 is disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties on compliance of usual legal formalities.
