It is the grievance of the petitioner that though she made a representation before the Director of Public Instruction, West Bengal in the prescribed form seeking her transfer to a college nearer to her residence, the said prayer has not yet been considered by the Director of Public Instruction, West Bengal.

There is no need to keep this writ petition pending. This writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of

with the direction upon the Director of Public Instruction, West Bengal to consider the prayer of the petitioner strictly in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of communication of this order. The decision should be communicated to the petitioner within one week thereafter.

With the above direction, WPA 24508 of 2023 is disposed of.
