Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that the bank officers have not been interrogated and/or implicated in connection with the instant case.

State has submitted a report. Report reflects that so far as the nature of the transactions are concerned the police authorities have been tracking the money trail and has been able to locate two of the accused persons involved in the alleged offence, search in respect of others are still on. The arrested persons were taken into custody from Jharkhand.

Petitioner has other issues in respect of the allegations regarding the nature of the transactions, if there are documents in custody of the petitioner he would hand over to the investigating officer to work out on the same.

At this stage, I find that substantial efforts have been made by the investigating agency and the offences are of such nature that it would take time to arrive at a conclusion. Having considered the same I am not inclined to interfere or comment on the investigation. However, I direct the Commissioner of Police, Chandannagar Police Commissionerate would ensure that the investigation is taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 25677 of 2024 is disposed of. Report so submitted be kept with the record.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
