1. The present writ application has been preferred praying for expeditious disposal of reference case no.20 of 2008. It appears that admittedly the reference case is pending before the Central Government Industrial Tribunal (CGIT) at Kolkata, since 2008.

2. It further appears that the matter was heard in full by the previous (regular) Presiding Officer, who after having heard the argument, has resigned from the post without passing any final order/award.

3. Since, then the matter is pending before the tribunal as there is no regular Presiding Officer posted till date at the CGIT, Kolkata.

4. Considering the fact that the matter is pending only for hearing of argument and the reference case is of the year 2008, the writ application is disposed of with the request to the learned Presiding Officer incharge of the CGIT, Kolkata to give priority to the present reference as per his convenience and make all endeavour to dispose of the reference case of 2008 at the earliest.

5. The writ application stands disposed of.

6. Applications, if any, connected thereto stand disposed of consequently.

7. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.

8. Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on priority basis upon compliance of all formalities.
