Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today, is taken on record.

The CESC authority will hold an inspection on October 5, 2024 or soon thereafter of the existing meter board position and reconnect the supply of the respondent no.4 in accordance with law. The inspection and connection will only be limited to reconnection/restoration from the existing meter board position, which is inside the bedroom of the petitioner. 3.

Restoration of the connection is permitted and the petitioner will not object. The CESC authorities shall not excavate earth or create a separate line. Apart from restoration of the connection of the respondent no.4, no other step shall be taken.

The order of the coordinate Bench restraining the petitioners from creating any problems or obstruction when CESC tries to execute its work, still subsists. The notice of the CESC does not indicate that the CESC

intended to supply a separate service connection through a different place in the premises.

The writ petition is disposed of.

Police help shall be granted to the CESC authorities at the cost of the respondent no.4. If the petitioners do not open the padlock, the police authorities shall open the padlock in the meter board position.

However, there will be no order as to costs.

Parties are to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
