The Officer-in-Charge, Kalyani Police Station has submitted a report dated 29th March, 2022 in the form of instructions to the learned Government Pleader. It appears from the report and the photocopies annexed thereto that the petitioner is frail old woman and slightly mentally unstable. The petitioner has a habit of roaming away from the house. As of now, the petitioner is in the house of the private respondent's son. Instructions have been obtained by the Kalyani Police Station from the pvt. respondent's son that they would take care of the mother.

In that view of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the Kalyani Police Station to maintain a regular vigil over the petitioner.

This Court appreciates the role played by the Kalyani Police Station in assisting the senior citizen. With the aforesaid direction, WPA 22959 of 2019 stands disposed of.
