Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner married the 5th respondent who has left his house within six months of the marriage and has taken away the jewellery and ornaments given to her at the time of her marriage.

Learned counsel for the private respondent submits that the 5th respondent has left the house of the petitioner and the parties propose to settle the dispute between them amicably.

It appears from the report submitted by the State that pursuant to the written complaint lodged by the petitioner, the police held enquiry and found that it was a case of domestic dispute. A General Diary was recorded.

Upon consideration of the submission made on behalf of the parties, this Court is of the view that in the event the petitioner is aggrieved by non-registration of FIR by the police authority he is at liberty to approach the jurisdictional Magistrate under Section 175 of the BNSS. The dispute appears to be civil in nature. The petitioner is also at liberty to approach the appropriate civil forum for redressal of his grievance.

The writ petition is disposed of.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.
