Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that although he has paid major portion of the loan amount to the private respondent no.4, yet the finance company is claiming excess amount and to that effect, when the petitioner approached the police station, he was not assisted. Petitioner submits that he has already approached the civil court and there are necessary orders passed by the civil court.

As none appears on behalf of the State, Mr. Joydeep Banerjee, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears for the State, along with a junior of his choice is directed to represent the State. Their appointment may be regularised by the concerned authorities.

In view of the petitioner unable to produce any information being furnished to the police authorities, I direct that the petitioner would furnish such information to the Inspector-inCharge, Kandi Police Station along with the documents in his possession. The concerned police authorities would assess and ascertain regarding

the substance of the same and exercise their discretion on the information so furnished.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 25588 of 2024 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
