Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner wants a separate electricity connection in the petitioner's name in respect of the premises, where the petitioner is residing. However, the CESC Limited has not given such connection as yet.

Learned counsel appearing for the CESC Limited, on instruction, submits that the petitioner, so long, has been enjoying electricity connection from a different person at the same premises and the CESC Limited apprehends splitting of load in the event a separate electricity connection is given to the petitioner at the same premises. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the said Sandhya, in whose name the

petitioner is alleged to have the present connection, has already expired.

Be that as it may, since a specific objection as to apprehended splitting of load has been taken by the Distribution Licensee, the same, under the extant Regulations, has to be decided by the concerned Grievance Redressal Officer (GRO).

Accordingly, WPA No. 25218 of 2022 is disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioner to approach the GRO concerned, with the dispute as raised in the present writ petition. If so approached, the GRO shall decide the issue in accordance with law upon giving adequeate opportunity of hearing to all concerned as expeditiously as possible, preferably within six weeks from the date of reference of such dispute to the GRO.

The parties shall act on the written communication of the learned advocates for the parties, accompanied by a server copy of this order, without insisting upon prior production of a certified copy thereof for implementation of the same.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent Photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
