The petitioner is aggrieved by the delay in investigation into FIR being Kakdwip Police Station Case No. 265 of 2022 dated 23.08.2022 under Sections 420/406/323/506 of the IPC by the Kakdwip Police Station.

This Court notes with disappointment the slow pace of investigation into the FIR. Except for issuance of notice under Section 91 of the Cr. P.C., investigation has not progressed.

It is ordered that the investigation into the said FIR be completed as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of 45 days from date.

On the threats issued to the petitioner, the Kakdwip Police have made G.D. Entry on September 30,

2022 and have taken out proceedings under Section 107 and 116 of the Cr. P.C.

The petitioner on being threatened further has lodged a complaint on September 12, 2022. The Kakdwip P.S. should have reacted immediately.

In the event of any further complaint of threat and intimidation, it is expected that appropriate and stern measures shall be taken by the Kakdwip Police. 8.

With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

9.

There shall be no order as to costs.
