This is an application wherein petitioner has prayed for expeditious disposal of Sessions Case No. 40 of 1986 presently pending before the learned Additional District and Sessions Judges, 1st Court, Suri, Birbhum.

The State is represented.

Upon hearing learned counsel appearing on behalf of both the parties it appears that the prayer is innocuous and if the prayer made in the application is allowed the opposite parties will have no cause to prejucice.

Accordingly, the service of application upon opposite parties is hereby dispensed with.

On perusal of the prayer it appears that the abovementioned Sessions Case is pending since 1986.

Accordingly, the prayer made by the petitioner for expeditious disposal of the said case is quite justified.

In such view of the matter, CRR 3516 of 2018 is hereby disposed of with a direction upon the Court below to make best endeavour for early disposal of the said Sessions Case without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties and to take all steps for disposal of the entire proceeding preferably within a period of three months from the date of communication of this order.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
