The contempt application arises out of an order dated 13th November, 2019 passed in WPA 8992 of 2016.

It is submitted by the petitioner that the order under contempt has now been complied with.

On behalf of the State, it is submitted that the alleged contemnor, Pradip Kumar Panja was never the Principal Secretary, Law Department at a point of time. The order under contempt has, therefor, been complied with by the present Principal Secretary, Judicial Department, Government of West Bengal by passing a reasoned order dated 28th June, 2023 thereby allowing the petitioner's claim as in the writ petition. A copy of the reasoned order dated 28th June, 2023 passed by the Principal Secretary,

Judicial Department, Government of West Bengal placed before the Court is taken on record.

Nothing further remains to be adjudicated in this contempt application. The contempt application is disposed of without any further orders by recording compliance of the order under contempt. The connected application, which is pending, is also disposed of without any further orders.
