Learned senior advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 13 months and in spite of charge having been framed, hardly there has been any progress of the case.

On the other hand, learned advocate for the State submits that out of 29 witnesses proposed to be examined, 16 witnesses have been examined.

Learned advocate appearing for the de facto complainant also adopts the submission of the State.

Having regard to the gravity of the offence, at this stage, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail in CRM(M) 2250 of 2025 is dismissed.

Learned trial court is directed to take steps so that by 15th June, 2026 the prosecution witnesses are over. Prosecution would put in efforts to conclude the said witnesses. No unnecessary adjournment be granted to any of the parties and the trial of the case would continue irrespective of any resolution of the local bar. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
