Counsel for the petitioner fairly admits that there are disputes between the petitioner and the private respondents arising out of a private contract for development. The parties may, therefore, approach a civil forum for adjudication of their disputes in accordance with law.

The Chinsurah Police shall not enter into the private disputes between the petitioner and the private respondents.

The Officer-in-Charge, Chinsurah Police Station shall, however, ensure that there is absolutely no breach of peace in the area.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

The report of the Inspector-in-Charge, Chinsurah Police Station, Chandannagar Police Commissionerate dated 17th December 2019 is taken on record.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
