Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner prays for expediting the proceedings of ACM Case No.844 of 2021. The said proceeding is under Section 125 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and is pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Court, Alipore. Learned advocate submits that presently date has been fixed for examination-in-chief of OPW-1.

Having considered that substantial time has already lapsed in the progress of the present case, learned Magistrate would fix at least one date in every 60 days so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. No unnecessary adjournment be granted to any of the parties. All stakeholders would cooperate with the learned trial court to conclude the trial at the earliest.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 4124 of 2023 is disposed of.

Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.
