The petitioner, a railway employee, complains of alleged inaction on the part of the Goalpokher Police Station in respect of a complaint dated 20th October, 2022 addressed to the IC Goalpokher Police Station and the Superintendent of Police, Islampur Police District, Uttar Dinajpur.

The sum and substance of the grievance of the petitioner is that the private respondent/Amiya Saha Das is a grocery shop owner and had taken Rs.2,60,000/- from him for getting him a promotion in the railways.

The petitioner may approach the concerned Magistrate under Section 156(3) of the CrPC, if the police have not registered any FIR.

The writ petition is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
