Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

Petitioner participated in selection process for being appointed as Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (for short, 'CAPFs'). However on measuring height of the petitioner it was found petitioner's height is 169.3 cm which is less than the requisite height, i.e., 170 cm. It is submitted as per norms there is provision to prefer appeal and petitioner approached the concerned authority for consideration of his grievance vide e-mail letter dated 29th October, 2025.

Petitioner prays for consideration of his e-mail letter dated 29th October, 2025 whereby measurement of height of the petitioner was challenged.

Union of India is represented by learned advocate who submits that petitioner is required to prefer a representation to the Director General, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), (Recruitment Board) being respondent no.5 within a specified time for adjudication of his grievance relating to measurement of height.

Having considered the respective submissions made on behalf of the parties, leave is granted to the petitioner to make a representation to the respondent no.5 questioning measurement of height of the petitioner made by the authority on 28th August, 2025 by seven (7) days from date.

If representation is made before the respondent no.5 within the aforesaid time, said respondent shall decide the same, in accordance with law by fortnight from the date of receipt of representation and the decision to be communicated to the petitioner by 48 hours thereafter.

With the above directions writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
