Learned senior advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner was taken into custody on 12.09.2025 and since then he is in custody. Petitioner was earlier on bail. Similarly placed accused person have been granted bail in CRM (R) 143 of 2025.

Having considered the locus of the present petitioner and the circumstances under which he was taken into custody by the learned Judicial Magistrate, 2nd Court, Contai, I am of the opinion that the same privilege may be extended to the present petitioner.

Accordingly, petitioners, namely Manish Gupta, Md. Umar shall furnish bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Twenty Thousand

Only) with two sureties of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) each. One of whom must be local to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate, 2nd Court, Contai, Purba Medinipur. Learned Judicial Magistrate, 2nd Court, Contai, Purba Medinipur is directed to impose conditions which would subjectively satisfy the said Court.

Accordingly, CRM (M) 2252 of 2025 is allowed. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
