Mr. Saswata Chatterjee ...for the Petitioner Mr. Malay Kr. Singh, Ms. Neelam Singh ...for the State This writ petition has been filed seeking compensation 05-08-2025 AKG Ct. 15 for the death of the petitioner's son, who died on April 13, 2024, due to an electrocution.

In view of Section 161 of the Electricity Act, 2003, I am not inclined to entertain this writ petition. I, however, grant liberty upon the petitioner to approach the concerned Chief Electrical Inspector of the State by making application in the prescribed form.

If such application is made, the same shall be processed by the Chief Electrical Inspector of the State in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of communication of this order.

Accordingly, WPA 25744 of 2024 is disposed of. Urgent certified website copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
