It is the case of the petitioner that she was working at the Kakdwip Sub Divisional Hospital and SSH. She was infected with Covid-19 on May 11, 2021. Being a health worker, she applied for additional financial benefit under the scheme declared by the respondents for the employees/persons deployed in the containment and management of Covid-19 on 3.9.2021.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner has drawn the attention of this Court to the eligibility certificate issued by the Superintendent of the concerned hospital wherein it is stated that the petitioner is found to be eligible to be covered under the Insurance Policy for persons deployed for Covid-19 related duties as per the Order No. HF/O/COVID-19/2020/3085 dated 1.4.2020.

Report filed by the respondent nos.3 and 4 is taken on record.

As per the said report of the Respondent No.

3&4 the claim of the Petitioner is still under consideration.

In the present case, there is no dispute qua the eligibility of the Petitioner for the entitlement of the said benefit. The only issue is the said claim is under consideration from 18.08.2022 till date.

In view thereof, the respondent is directed to release the payment due to the petitioner within a period of four weeks from today in terms of the certificate issued by the appropriate authority.

Needless to state, if the petitioner is aggrieved, she shall be at liberty to approach this Court.

With the above direction, the present writ petition is disposed of.
