2. The petitioner's prayer for higher scale of pay is pending consideration before the District Inspector of Schools, Secondary Education, Purulia.

3. Without entering into the merits of the claim of the petitioner, the instant writ petition stands disposed of by directing the aforesaid respondent to take a decision on the prayer of the petitioner forwarded by the school in accordance with the prevailing rules at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

4. If the prayer of the petitioner is allowed, then necessary consequential steps shall be taken without any further delay.

5. The writ petition stands disposed of.
