Report submitted by the State is taken on record. The petitioner sought a direction upon the police authority to trace and rescue his missing father Durga Pada Dutta.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that after the writ petition was filed, the dead body of his father was found and identified by him.

In view of the above, the writ petition has become infructuous and is accordingly disposed of.

However, there shall be no order as to costs. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
