Petitioner is in custody for one year four months. The investigation of the case has been concluded and charge-sheet has been submitted. It has been further pointed out that the petitioner's bail were earlier rejected only on the ground that the petitioner was absconding and other accused persons whose complicity on the face of materials on record are much more glaring have been granted bail under Article 21 of the Constitution of India.

Learned advocate appearing for the State has submitted that petitioner is thickly connected with the alleged offence, it is not only that the investigation has been concluded but charges have already been framed. Additionally it has been

submitted that the petitioner is a history-sheeter against whom four criminal cases are pending.

Having regard to the stage of the case, the complicity of the present petitioner and the fact that the petitioner had been evading the process of law at the initial stage of the case which has jeopardize the investigation, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail at this stage.

Accordingly, CRM (M) 2259 of 2025 is dismissed. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
