The petitioner is inclined to press only prayer "c" of the application and does not intend to press the other prayers.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the wife of the 6th respondent and marriage between them has been dissolved by a decree of divorce. After the said decree was granted, the petitioner was driven out of her house for which she approached the police authority for assistance. With the aid and assistance of the police, she has been able to return to her house and is presently residing therein. The petitioner seeks police assistance so that she is able to reside therein peacefully.

The prayer of the petitioner in the writ petition appears to have been redressed. However, police authority shall render necessary assistance/protection to the petitioner as and when sought in order to enable her to reside in her house peacefully and without any disturbance from any corner.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.
