Petitioner contends there is a case and counter case between the parties. He has been falsely implicated. Accordingly, he prays for anticipatory bail.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail.

We have considered the materials on record. Statement of the victim shows she had been forcibly raped by the petitioner. There is nothing on record to connect the counter case viz., Nadia Police Station Case No.587 of 2024 dated 17.08.2024 with the present case. 4.

Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
