,, Mr. S. P. Pahari ... for the petitioner Mr. Biswabrata Basu Mallick Mr. Sanjib Das ... for the State Records reveal that the petitioner is the approved teacher in Dedanri Junior High School (in short, the said school). He alleges that his salary for the months of September, October, November and December, 2016 has been withheld without any reason. On 30th January, 2017, the Teacher-in-Charge of the said school submitted a representation along with necessary documents pertaining to the petitioners arrear claim to the Additional District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), Contain Sub-Division, Purba Medinipur.
Mr. Basu Mallick, learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that the arrear claim of Rs.1,38,884/- (Rupees One Lac Thirtyeight Thousand Eight Hundred Eightyfour) only was sent on 31st December, 2020 by the Additional District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), Contai, Purba Medinipur, to the
Commissioner of School Education, Government of West Bengal. He further submits that the payment shall be made very soon.
In light of the same, the Commissioner of School Education, Government of West Bengal, is directed to ensure that the payment of the arrear salary as indicated above is made to the petitioner within a period of five weeks from date.
With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of.
Since no affidavit-in-opposition is called for, allegations made in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.
