An order dated 4th December, 2024 passed by the Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of West Bengal has been placed before this Court indicating that this Court's order dated 20th December, 2023 has been complied with and the claim of the petitioners has been rejected by the Finance Department. The order dated 4th December, 2024 is taken on record.

This Court is of the view that there is no contempt of this Court's order. The remedies available to the petitioners against the order dated 4th December, 2024 are kept open to be adjudicated in accordance with law.

Hence, the contempt application shall stand disposed of.

Personal presence of the alleged contemnor, if any, is dispensed with.

Rule, if any, shall stand discharged.
