In the said order the name of Mr. Jayanta Samanta be recorded as learned counsel appearing for the State in addition to the name already recorded. The department is directed to incorporate necessary correction accordingly.

This order be treated as part of the order passed on 21st January, 2026.

Affidavit of service filed by the petitioner and the reports submitted by the State are taken on record. The grievance of the petitioner is twofold. First, the police has not acted upon the complaint lodged by him pursuant to the fraud suffered by him. Second, the ICICI Bank being the 5th respondent herein has slapped a demand notice upon him requesting him for a payment of Rs. 1,59,602/-.

It appears from the reports submitted by the State that pursuant to the complaint lodged by the petitioner,

necessary steps have been taken. Investigation is in progress.

With regard to the allegation of the petitioner against the ICICI Bank, on prayer of the petitioner, liberty is granted to approach the appropriate forum for redressal of his grievance.

No fruitful purpose shall be served in keeping the writ petition pending.

The same is accordingly disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Since no affidavit has been invited, allegations contained in the writ petition shall be deemed not to have been admitted.

Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
