The petitioner alleges that the application made by the petitioner before the Sub-Divisional Officer under provision of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 is pending consideration since July 2024.

The petitioner claims to be regularly harassed and tortured in the hands of his elder son and daughter-in-law. The petitioner fears for his life. 3.

It has been submitted that the private respondents forced and coerced the petitioner to part away with his property by signing the deed of conveyance. As the petitioner refused to sign the document, the private respondents are pressurizing and terrorizing him to transfer the property in their name.

None represents the respondents. Affidavit of service filed in Court is taken on record.

As it appears that the petitioner is a senior citizen and his application is pending consideration for quite some time, accordingly, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the fourth respondent - Sub-Divisional Officer, Kakdwip, South 24 Parganas - to take proper necessary

steps to consider the application of the petitioner strictly in accordance with law at the earliest by passing necessary order/direction.

Steps shall be taken positively within sixty days from the date of communication of this order. 7.

All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be made available to the parties.
