Report submitted by the State is taken on record. The petitioners seek completion of investigation of the complaint lodged by them and direction upon the Child Welfare Committee to handover the child in favour of the petitioners.

It appears from the report submitted by the State that a specific case was started pursuant to the complaint lodged by the petitioners and final report was submitted upon completion of investigation. It is rightly submitted that the police authority has no role to play in release of the child by the C.W.C.

No fruitful purpose shall be served by keeping the writ petition pending.

The same is accordingly disposed of.

There shall however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to have been admitted.
