1. Petitioner complains of violation of the order dated February 10, 2025.

2. Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that, the petitioner approached the Court under the contempt jurisdiction for the second time. Initially, an authority who was not supposed to decide on the issue of unauthorized construction purported to assume jurisdiction. Thereafter, the designated authority assumed jurisdiction. He submits that, the decision communicated to the petitioner is not within the time-frame stipulated by the order dated February

10, 2025.

3. Alleged contemnors are represented.

4. It appears from the records that, the office of the Howrah Zilla Parishad communicated a writing dated January 21, 2026 to the petitioner informing that, the Zilla Parishad was of the view that, there was unauthorized construction and directed demolition thereof.

5. Our order dated February 10, 2025 required the Zilla Parishad to consider the legality and validity of the construction subsisting in the two plots.

6. Zilla Parishad did so by its order dated January 21 2026. Although, the Zilla Parishad did not adhere to the timeline stated by the order dated February 10, 2025, we are not minded to exercise our jurisdiction under Article of the Constitution of India or the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 in view of the substantial compliance of our order.

7. CPAN 1770 of 2025 in MAT 1358 of 2022 is disposed of.
