This is an application filed by the accused praying for a direction upon the Trial Court for expeditious disposal of Case No. N-12 of 2021 arising out of Baduria Police Station Case No. 64/2021 dated 27th January, 2021 under Section 21(C) of the NDPS Act presently pending before the learned Additional Sessions Judge, 6th Court at Barasat. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner was arrested on the allegation that he was possessing narcotic substance beyond commercial quantity on 27th January, 2019. Police submitted charge-sheet on 17th March, 2021 against the petitioner and supplementary charge-sheet on 25th December, 2021. The Trial Court framed charge against the accused under Section 21(C) of the NDPS

Act on 11th March, 2022 and subsequently several dates were fixed by the Trial Court but no witness was examined on behalf of the prosecution.

The learned Trial Judge is directed to take positive step for production of witnesses on the next date of trial and directed to examine of charge-sheeted witness within six months from the date of communication of this order. Thereafter he shall come to a logical conclusion of the case within one month. The instant revision is, thus, disposed of.

The petitioner is at liberty to act on the server copy of this order.
